We know that lots of teachers like to sing, for their own pleasure and musical development, to enhance their teaching, and for the experience of working with their peers. So we want to celebrate teachers singing together at national level.
About us
The National Teachers Choir (NTC) is an unauditioned choir that builds singing confidence and achieves singing excellence. It brings together anyone involved in teaching from across the country, to develop them as a national choir and celebrate the power of the voice.

By:-
-
Offering weekend programmes of rehearsals and workshops, with top quality leadership
-
Securing, and working towards, national performance opportunities
Repertoire
A range of styles and genres, including popular and light classics, uplifting gospel and other random and funky stuff. We learn everything in a single weekend - fast paced but fun. We're going to challenge and inspire you, but don't worry about being able to read music - there are other ways!
How does it work?
We hold weekend sessions once per term in different places around the country, bringing with us NTC members and recruiting teachers from the local area. It's a great opportunity to visit new places, get away from it all and enjoy singing with other teachers. At the end of the Summer term we have an annual residency at Snape Maltings - the musical mecca on the Suffolk coast - which is the perfect way to unwind after the rigours of the academic year. See Activities page for our story so far and what's coming up next.
'Thank you for yet another amazing NTC weekend... I always go home feeling renewed and inspired'
